Loose Gemstones Event at Kingston Fine Jewelry in Kingston, NY

Kingston Fine Jewelry is partnering with Artinian Gems and holding its first loose gemstone event on Thursday, October 13^th between 10am and 7:30pm. Artinian Gems’ owner, David Artinian, is a gem hunter who travels the world to source gemstones. His journeys have taken him to Brazil, Asia, Sri Lanka and Africa. He climbs down into the mines with the miners to search for gem-quality rough (raw stones). After inspection and purchase he takes the rough to master gem cutters who shape the stones.

Brandy Pavlich, Kingston Fine Jewelry’s owner, said that “There will be more than a thousand gemstones in a variety of prices, starting at $25, so that there will be stones to fit every budget. In addition to traditional birthstones, there will be unusual stones such as spinel, sphene, alexandrite, morganite and color-changing sapphires.” She adds “We are especially pleased to be working with Artinian because in addition to their passion for gemstones, they are on a mission to use their resources to serve the surrounding communities in countries in which they mine. Kingston Fine Jewelry Hosts Nina Nguyen Trunk Show

Kingston Fine Jewelry is hosting a Nina Nguyen Trunk Show on Friday, July 22nd, from 11am to 6pm and is offering  a free bracelet with qualifying purchase (while supplies last). Nina Nguyen jewelry helps a woman define her own style with colorful and artistic creations while embracing earth-conscious materials. Inspired by organic gemstones, her current collection’s focus is on the fossilized and mineralized stones that slowly develop through the planet’s natural processes. Currently her favorite raw materials are geodes, stalactites, and fossilized ammonites.

Nina Nguyen Designs strives to empower women not only with fashionable, one-of-a-kind pieces, but also by fostering career opportunities for women in the US and her birth county, Vietnam. Kingston Fine Jewelry Hire Manager

Matthew Heupler, of Hurley, N.Y., has joined Kingston Fine Jewelry as store manager. Heupler has more than thirteen years of local retail management and customer service experience. His role for this second generation family owned business will include staff training, budget development and general staff oversight.

Heupler started in 2002 as a sales associate at Staples, where he subsequently became Assistant Store Manager. In 2014, he left Staples to manage a dollar store opened by The Arc of Ulster-Greene, an agency dedicated toward enriching the lives of individuals by offering job opportunities to people with developmental disabilities.

Heupler has an associate degree in business administration from SUNY Dutchess and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from SUNY Empire State. Heupler and his wife make their home in Hurley, NY.
